1000 years prior to modern day, dragons roamed the planet like humans do now. They were strong, wise, and kind. But some were not, they were the young and inexperianced. they with the Dragon children, they still had room to grow and they would eventually become like their ancestors. however, humans also lived on Earth at this time, though not as prosperous as now. When they saw how better dragons were than  them. They became jealous, their greed and desire of being the best took over and they started hating the dragons, and soon a war raged between human and Dragon kind.

somehow, someway, humankind was able to wipe out every single Dragon in existence, making them the dominant species. But legend has it that when a Dragon dies, a fire tear is release but when it is the dragon has a small chance of being revived. It is not always guaranteed but when it does, there are two ways it can happen. if a human were to crush the fire tear in their hand,
the second being if a human consumes it either volintarierly or unwittingly.

if a human were  to crush the fire tear in their hands, they would've inherit that Dragon's power, and the Dragon will be forced to either live as a spirit or live inside the humans mind. But if the second possiblity happens, the human host will then be transformed into the dragon whose tear was consumed. Unlike the first way, the roles are reversed and the human will either be allowed to live in the Dragon's mind or will be forced to roam as a bodiless soul forever, however the Dragon also has the power to switch control to the human mind.

Over the last decade, human children have found it unknowingly consumed FireTears, either from them being on food they have eaten, or mysterious strangers giving them items containing them. one turns into dragons, the dragons they became were kind enough to not cast them out, so the children's minds remained.

Here is a story, of two boys, who were so lucky to become dragons  but be allowed controll of their own bodies still.



Leon Mccloud was in the forest with his best friend, Maverick, they were both spending the day in the forest in order to get away from the orphanage that they had to live at, unaware that caretakers at the orphanage, who know plenty about the FireTears, place two FireTear in the water they gave them, a red one, and a blue one. They did this in the hopes that the children will be happier. But all may not go the way the caretakers hope they will.

the boys continue to explore the forest they've known for five years. "Hey Mave, you think it's time for a break now?" Leon Asked, looking at his best friend.

"Yeah, I'm getting thirsty from all this walking." Smiled Mave as he pulled out  as he pulled out both of the canteens containing their water. Leon unknowningly took the one with the blue FireTear.

Leon then gulped down the water for he was thirsty too.

Mimicing his friend, Mave did the same, wiping the water on his mouth on his sleeve.

"Hey, did you feel something move a bit in your mouth? It felt slippery and small."

"I felt that too but it didn't last long because it just went straight down the throat." Leon replied

"Weird. Do you think someone tried to pull a prank on us or something?"

Before Leon could even respond, both boys felt the memories of dragons entering their minds. "What's this?" Leon said as memories continue to rush through his mind.

"Where are these coming from? Aarrgh! My head!" Screamed Mave as something grew inside his mind.

suddenly both boys .something growing in the seat of their jeans.

"Uh no, no no no NO!"

their Jeans gave way to let to Dragon Tails grow, Leon's was blue, Mave's was red. "A tail?!" Leon said in confusion and fear

"Great, we're turning into lizards! Guess we're going to eat insects for the rest of our Miserable lives" Cried out Mave as his tail grew long and Spikes sprouted at the base.

then, Blue and Red scales began to grow on their feet, some sort of magic force disintegrated  their shoes, aligned and watch their feet become Dragons Paws, in their respective colors. "I don't think lizards have Paws, Mave" Leon said of the scales Spread up their legs.

"Great, we're turning into some mythological creature with different things from different animals then. Yay." Maverick didn't realize that they were being given a great gift, soon their lower bodies with that of dragons, and there pants were destroyed just like their shoes.

"wait, I've seen these before, I think we're becoming dragons" Leon said as the Scales  continue to spread, destroying the shirts.

"Pfft. Really? I though we were turning into bears." His voice dripping with sarcasum as the pain moved from his legs to his chest, the scales spreading even farther. it soon started spreading down their arm, once it reached their hands, it turned their hands into dragon paws too, then the boys were forced onto all fours as they got their wings.

"Ow ow ow! Dang, some much friggin pain!"  Mave let out an inhuman roar as the wings continued to grow.

the boys then heard voices in their  heads, "Calm down, it's going to be okay" said the voice in Leon's head, "what, who's that"

"Seriously, your acting like someone planted a bomb or something inside you. Take a chill pill." Said the voice in Mave's head.

"Your hearing them too? What's your sound like?"

"don't worry, I'm your friend, my name is Tobias, the reason you're becoming a Dragon is because you swallowed my FireTear." The voice in Leon's Head said.

"The name is Thror, and as you can see the current effect of swallowing my firetear. Good thing you did too or I'd be stuck in that water forever. Dam cold in their it was."

"Ugh, just get out of my head!" The pain was now reducing itself as he calmed down and faced reality. "That's better. Now let me just finish this up."

Leon felt something like his mind being put in the back row as his transformation was completed, "no, don't do this to me." Leon's mind Begged, Tobias then replied, "calm down, it's okay, it's just part of the transformation, but because you're just a child I'm letting you stay, I'm even giving you control of the body." That's when Leon's mine felt like he was back where it belongs. Tobias continued, "there's no way to reverse the transformation, but I'll teach you how to be Dragon, so don't worry, it's gonna be okay" "thank you Tobias" Leon said. "no problem" Tobias replied.

Thror then followed up with his word, speeding up the last of the transformation but repressing the pain. Four golden horns sprouted from the back of Mave's changing skull, the jaw and the front of the face extending into a muzzle with sharp canines replacing his old teeth.  The transformation finished with his eyes changing, becoming slited and gained the sight of a bald Eagle (if not better!)

"Wow, this feels... Great!" Shouted out Mave, his voice now a few octaves deeper. "Your lucky I'm letting you control my body for now.  Just Don't get used to it. Mave's mind was then jerked away to a much deeper part of Thror's mind and Mave now felt as if he was weightless with no limbs or anything to move.

"Kid, can I borrow control for a sec" Tobias kindly asked, "sure, but my name is Leon" Leon said before giving Tobias control. Tobias then looked at Thror and Said "Brother,  let the human mind have control, it's the least we could do after they gave us a second chance" Tobias and gave Leon control back.

"Fine." Thror face would of been a pout if he could've made that expression as he gave Mave control of his body. "Just don't damage the wings." Remarked Thror as he receeded into Mave's mind.

Tobias then asked Leon, "So how does being a Dragon feel?" Leon calmly answered, "I honestly don't know what to say, it feels,  strong, plus the fact that I now have the power to fly under my own free will, and with you helping me  it just feels so good." Tobias then said, "being your new brother, I'm happy you are enjoying it. Come on, let's start  teaching you how to fly."  Then, following Tobias' instructions, Leon was able to take off and fly like a dragon. enjoying his flight for the first hour, Leon didn't get Tobias control, so he could fly too.

"Let's go flying!" Shouted out Thror as he saw his brother taking off. "What?" Said Mave in surprise at his suggesstion "You heard me, let's fly!" Before Mave could argue, Thror took control for a moment and made Mave do a running takeoff. As soon as Thror released his control, Mave fumbled and almost hit the trees below before getting the hang of it and soared towards his friend.

from that day on, Leon and Maverick enjoyed their lives as dragons. with Tobias and Thror guiding them, they grew into strong, powerful dragons, and they never regretted becoming what they are today. and they say that these two dragons continue to fly the skies, finding worthy children, turning them into dragons, and showing them the ancient dragon ways.
