Yes, I'm full of those. To start with I always draw a circle for the head, then a rectangle for the muzzle. Eyes are small and about three quarters up the head, I normally draw them in as a circle and create the expression by changing how much is visble between the eyelids. The jaw extends into the face a bit, forming a jawbone that you can just about see, drawing that in looks good. As for bodies, I'd recoment two circles and a line to place it, and using lines to work out where the legs are helps keep them proportional. You can just draw straight away but that doesn't tend to come out as good I find.
